King Ludwig built 2 castles side by side

Autumn in Bavarian Alps

I did a side day trip out of Munich during my recent business trip to see the ‘Disney inspired ‘Neuschwanstein Castle’. It is a full day trip as the train ride from Munich Central Station is very long. You then have to catch a bus which takes you to the bottom of the castle. You can either walk up or take a horse carriage, I’ve decided to walk up and enjoy the scenery and air.
The Castle is located in Bavarian Alps. It is currently Autumn and the colour of the surroundings is simply beautiful and magical. I love the King (King Ludwig) who built the castle (apparently, it’s not finished). King Ludwig’s a bit crazy but again he’s allowed to because he’s a King. He refuses to look at people whom he thinks is ugly. He’s also fond of swans, that’s why be built the ‘swan castle’.
If you visit the castle in different seasons, it has different aesthetic beauty. In winter, the white snowbed will surround the castle, while in autumn, the autumn leaves will be the backgrop, likewise in springs, the sun, flowers and wildlife would be around. It’s definetely one of my favourite castle – very OTT but soft romantic.
