Lightshow at Eiffel Tower
As cheesy as it sounds, I love the Eiffel Tower. This metal structure is massive and can be seen pretty much anywhere in Paris. I’ve visited it once before during the day so this time I am going to visit it at night. At night, the tower has a light show and big spotlights going around the city of Paris.
Visually the Tower is simply astonishing, obviously it’s tall but it is also huge at the base, much bigger than I anticipated. I can’t wait to get up there to see the views. To get to the top of the Eiffel Tower, you have 2 options, the lift or the walk. Now I don’t know about you but the idea of walking 300 metres vertically is not my cup of tea, though if you want to lose a few kilos
, so I decided to take the lift.
When you are on top of the Eiffel Tower you really do feel like you are on top of the world. It was simply breathtaking. The views were spectacular, you were able to see lots of Paris’s landmarks including the Jardins du Trocadero (Trocadero Gardens).
You can wine and dine here as well. There are 2 restaurants, the bistro at first level and their exclusive restaurant ‘Le Jules Verne‘ (Rush Hour 3 movie) that require months in advanced to book.
Want to see Paris/Eiffel Tower before you visit? Watch “Rush Hour 3″, I also highly recommend “Ratatoille”, the pixar cartoon which sums up Paris very well. My other favourite movies are “2 Days in Paris” and “Amelie” which gives a great view of Sacre Coeur Church.
