Spooky but cool - Paris Catacombes - those are real bones
I like eerie places and in Paris you get several options. You can do the pilgrimage to Jim Morrison’s grave or visit Paris Catacombes. I chose to do the Catacombes.
To get here, you catch an underground metro at the stop called Denfert Rochereau. As you get out of the train station, you have to find the catacombes as it is hidden behind a building/park approximately 3 minutes walk across the station. You walked down 20 meters or 130 steps down the street level of Paris, there you’ll find human bones, skulls and all, stacked in walls.
If you are clausterphobic, I wouldn’t recommend you do this as ascending down 1.6 km of very narrow tunnel is not for the faint of heart. The Catacombes was Paris underground graveyard. I have heard stories that many people get lost while visiting the Catacombes only to never be found.
SCAREY!
