Basilique Du Sacre Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart)

Today I hung out at Montmartre which is a very nice Parisian neighbourhood. Picasso lived here. I was here to visit another very touristy site - Basilique Du Sacre Coeur (The Sacred Heart Church). The Basilique Du Sacre Coeuris located at the summit of Montmartre.

If you watch Audrey Tatou’s french movie Amelie, you can see the scene where Amelie ran up and down the stairs of Basilique Du Sacre Coeur. The Basilique is located on the top hill of Montmartre. This is the highest point in the city and is another place where you really get a grand view of Paris. Get yourself fit though because the climb to the top is a little taxing, though if you’re lazy you can always catch the  finocular up.

You can go higher by further climbing 234 spiral steps from the basilica's dome
