Typical Breakfast/Lunch in Paris
Leave the first response March 2, 2008 / Posted in Food & Wine, TravelI have to admit I didn’t spend enough time eating when visiting Paris, I was always on the go. It is a big shame since Paris has some of the best restaurants in the world. I did however manage to have the best macaroons at Laduree.
I also loved the cafes in Paris. I really enjoyed just having time out with a nice coffee and just watching the locals talk french. I love the chaos inside a Parisian Cafe, it seems to be a meeting place for people to exchange life stories similar to hairdressers in Australia. The waiters seem to know the regulars and what the customers are up to.
So, a typical breakfast/lunch:
- Coffee and Croissant. Croissants do taste better in Paris. My other favourite was Pain Au Chocolat (Chocolate Croissant) - I’m not a big chocolate lover but I tend to have a soft spot for this pastry :).

Coffee

Croissant and crusty french bread with butter and jam
- Salad Nicoise - tuna, green beans, eggs salad

A variation of Nicoise Salad

You can always opt for a Steak and Chips if you're homesick :)
