Buda Castle located at Castle Hill (Buda side of Budapest)
Castle Hill (Varhegy) is one of Budapest’s highest points. It is located on the Buda side. Budapest is formed by 2 sides (Buda and Pest) which is separated by the River Danube. To get here you can either take the finocular up (directly across Szechenyi/Chained Bridge) then walk around or take a taxi.
The famous landmark here is Buda Castle which you can visit. Castle Hill is also a great place to get a birds eye view of the River Danube, Szechenyi Bridge, Buda and Pest as Budapest city. I also got a great view of the Budapest Parliament. It is a lovely side to spend the afternoon walking and enjoying the historic city of Budapest.
