Fusion restaurant - nice modern interesting decor
After a long walk in Budapest at a very humid 28 C (82 F), my mate and I decided to stop for a cold drink and lunch. We wanted to try something local but modern.
Fusion is located at the main tourist street of Vaci utca (Vaci Street 20, Budapest, Hungary). Fusion, as the name says, serves asian and hungarian cross (fusion) dishes. The restaurant has a really nice bar, modern decor and outdoor seating area (which we chose to seat).

Fusion has a vast selection of wine and alcoholic drinks
We started with a non alcholic cocktail. It was a mixture of lime, sugar, ginger, ice tea, and mint. It was refreshing, exactly what we were after.

For starter, we decided to share a fusion dish, a green papaya salad.

Green Papaya Salad - shreded of green papaya and carrots seasoned in lime and fish sauce an sprinkle of crunchy peanuts
For main, we had beef straganoff served with egg gnochi and duck liver served with brioche and fruit chutney. The egg gnochi’s texture was very nice. Both dishes were really lovely.

The bill came up to be 60 euros including tips. It was not too bad at all although some people said it’s a bit pricey considering Budapest was eastern european country. I enjoyed my lunch and was happy with the food and service. That’s all that matters
