Gellert Outdoor Bath with Hungarian architecture as a backdrop

When I discovered the Gellert Thermal Bath all I can think of was that I should have extended my stay Budapest! The Gellert Thermal Bath located at the historic Gellert Danubius Hotel is famouse for their baths. It has 2 indoor thermal baths  (one for male and the other female). There is another famous bath at Szechenyi Bath (where you see travel photos of people playing chess in a pool) but unfortunately we were not able to make it that one.

Gellert Thermal Spring Pool and Bath are located within Gellert Hotel thus convenient for us. It took around 10 minutes to walk along the internal dungeon. What is so special about this bath are the decorations  of the bath in Hungarian Art Nouveau. It took us back in time – grand style .

Because we stay at the Gellert Hotel, we got a free pass to enjoy the thermal baths. Make sure you make time to enjoy Budapest Thermal Baths either Gellert Bath or Szechenyi Bath.
