Mai and one of her best girlfriend dining out at Gellert Braisserie (located at Historic Art Deco Gellert Danubius Hotel), Budapest, Hungary
My mate and I had the option to head up to the city for dinner but we opted to stay in the historic Gellert Hotel and went to the Gellert Braisserie restaurant instead. Since the weather was warm, we had dinner outside. Gellert Braisserie specialises in Hungarian cooking which was perfect for what we were looking for. Hungarian dishes tend to be heavy but as part of any travelling experience, we were up for the challenge
.
We started with a bottle of New Zealand Wine – a Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.

We then shared a started of Roast Pepper stuffed with rice and drizzle of red pepper sauce served with roast potatoes.

For main, we had roasted baby chicken served with cheese filled pancake and brussels sprouts on parmesan basket.

Baby Chicken - We both have the same good taste, that's why we're good friends
For dessert, we shared 2 of them
. The first one was Gellert Vanilla pudding with dried fruit and custard. The Vanilla pudding tasted like panacota.

The second dessert we had was called Death by Chocolate – Chocolate flourless mudcake served with very chocolaty ice cream and topped with Chocolate ganache.

We had a good ‘girls only time’ bonding, wining and dining in a very nice eastern european city of Hungary.
