One of first places I visited while driving into Darwin was the Australia Aviation Heritage Centre. This was a very interesting and educational visit. The tour starts off with a 10 minute presentation of Australia’s involvement in Wolrd War 2. Then you’re off on your own to study the  20 or so aircraft, the largest and meanest being the B-52 Bomber! Aparently one of only 2 available on show outside the USA. How it fit inside the hanger I don’t know.

Other major displays include Jet & Piston static engines and awards.
