Noodle House outdoor eatery section at 84 Mitchell St, Darwin

You know, Melbourne & Sydney has some of the best Chinese restaurants so I was relatively surprised at the quality of food at Noodle House restaurant in Darwin. Noodle House is located at 84 Mitchell St, Darwin (Ph: 8981 1833) which is the main tourist streets full of backpackers hostels, tour agents, eateries, bars and shopping.

This must be one of the premier Dining at Darwin. The food was done exactly to my liking and the ingredients (especially seafood) were all very fresh. They have a dress code of smart casual no flip flops. It is not a BYO restaurant but the selections of alcohols were impressive. The restaurant decor is really nice - very contemporary.

I know it’s a big call but I rank Noodle House in the top 3 Chinese restaurants of all time.

My travel mate and I shared classic Chinese dishes:

• Chicken with cashew nuts

• Prawns with garlic and seasonal vegetables served on steaming hot plate
