Baby Crocodile Pen
Crocodylus Park is located about 15 minutes drive from Darwin CBD. This is where they breed and research Crocodiles. The heart of Crocodylus Park is 20 pair of breeding crocodiles. Each housed in their own “5-star” pens.
If you’ve ever wanted to get close to a 5 metre salt water crocodile this is probably as close as you’ll ever get (if you want to get closer try Crocosaurus Cove). But it’s not just big crocs that are worth seeing, the sight of hundreds of smaller baby crocs are also just as fun to watch.
Other than crocodiles, other animal you can expect to see are Casowaris, Wombats, Dingos, Kangaroos, tigers, ocelots, leopard, monkeys, water buffaloes & more.
Things to do includes:
- Animals feeding (check feeding times in advanced)
- Animals talk
- Touch snakes and Australian native reptiles
- Casowari – can be viscious and dangerous
- Panthera Tigre behind the palm trees
- Ocelot’s napping
- This Kangaroo was eating and pissed off when I bugged him
- American Alligator
- The crocodile’s nose’s designed specifically to breath while underwater
- Baby Crocodiles Pen
- A crocodile trap
- Crocodile can stay still for hours, kinda trick everyone since it looks like a piece of log
- Juvenile Crocs sun bathing
- Feeding Crocodile
