None other than the great James Hird
We were able to get awesome seats at the Australian Open Mens Final today. If you can imagine where the players entourage sits, we were 3 rows back. Had a perfect view of Roger Federer’s girlfriend, Mirka.
Gabriella Climi sang couple opening songs.
Celebrities spotted include:
- James Hird (he sat 6-8 seats on my left) - AFL (Australian Football League) Essendon Bombers team Ex-Captain
- Eric Bana (opposite of the court)
- Daniel MacPherson (sitting behind Eric Bana) - an ex Australian soap (Neighbours) actor
- Dannii Minogue (sitting behind Eric Bana and Daniel MacPherson) - Kylie Minogue sister
- Nicky Hilton??

I actually received free tickets to attend. However, I know friends who got great seats by going through the normal procedure of purchasing Australian Open tickets. One thing I know is that you need to get into their mail list, then once you are notified when tickets are on sale (Novemeber I think) then go buy them asap. This is the great thing about having a grandslam in Australia, you do not have to go into a draw or pay a fortune (cough Wimbledon cough)or sell your soul to the devil to get a seat (or good seats) to watch the Final :). Yes, In Australia, we are truly spoilt
