I’m missing sitting at this french patisserie Laduree (http://www.laduree.fr/index_en.htm) which makes the best macaroons.

During my business trip to Paris last year, a colleague took me to one of their shop in Champs Elysees and since then I’ve feasted on my favourite Laduree macaroon called L’Ispahan (as shown in the picture). It’s a pink rose water macroon filled with fresh raspberries and lychee cream! YUM!!!!

Back in London, I visited Laduree in Harrods at Knightsbridge. The cafe’s really cute and the decor is chic. In Harrods, there’re always queues but there’s a trick. You let them know that you’d like to have lunch instead of coffee then you’ll be in the express lane as the lunch queue is usually shorter and you’ll be seated in a very nicely decorated lunch area. I’d recommend you get some salad (they have nice salads and sandwiches) then gorge on desert (i.e. the macaroons) and tea/coffee :). They have nice selections of in house tea which you can buy to take home. You can also purchase macaroon cooking book instore. Divine!

Thank you very much and I am really glad that you enjoy my blog. I heard of La mison du chocolat and will definetely try to go all 3 places whenever I get to the chance to go to Paris again. Sometimes it’s really frustrating when you travel for business as you only get a limited time to check out where the locals hang out. Thank you very much for your tips, I welcome more :).

ps: Is that your boyfriend on the background or do I see Roger Federer???? arrghh….either way, he looks like Roger Federer! arrghhh…..*star struck*

Hi Yolkina, I’m good thanks. First of all, let me say ‘ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH’ JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! but happy that you got to see Roger In action!!! However, you didn’t cheer hard enough for him to win ;p !!! Secondly, how in the earth do you have time to fly to the states and followed Roger’s schedule? You wouldn’t happen to work for a french bank (BNP Paribas that sponsors the tournament), would you? Still trying to figure out on your good lifestyle :) hmmm…I’m still green with envy, Big Time! Lastly, Thank you very much for the new macaroon’s place :) ! I’m scheduling a trip to Northern France (Brittany, Normandy, Loire Valley) enroute Paris at the end of the year/early next year. Please, keep the list coming. I will have macaroons from the places recommended by you - everyday while I’m in Paris!! Gosh, I’m craving for them now and there are not any good macaroons in Australia!
