Large Meal Package - 3 skewers of satay of your choice served on a bed of rice and salad

Small Meal Package (AU$7.70) - 2 skewers of satay of your choice served on a bed of rice and salad

Satay Bar (Ph: 03 9629 1466)
Corner Flinders Lane and Custom House Lane (off Flinders Lane, between Williams St and Spencer St)

If you are looking for a quick, nice, cheap no frills lunch and you love satay (meat in skewers originally from Malaysia/Indonesia), look no further than Satay Bar. They only serve Satays and you get to choose any sides (rice, salad or krupuk which is indonesian crackers).

I like to get their meal packages which cost no more than AU$10. The small meal (AU$7.70) will get you 2 skewer of satay of your choice (chicken, beef, lamb, tofu, or their daily specials) served on a bed of rice and a side of your choice (a choice of salad or krupuk). The large meal (AU$9.90) will get you 3 skewers of satay of your choice served on a bed of rice with a choice of 2 sides (salad or krupuk or both).

If you work close by and you’re always busy, save time by giving them a call to pre-order your satays  :).

I’m a big fan of Satay Bar. I even like their tofu satay! If you like moreheat, ask for one of the sambals they keep behind the counter.

Thanks for the tips - I will ask for sambal next time as I enjoy my food hot :).
