The good thing about living with a Dutch person is we both have the same good taste in Indonesian food. The Dutch invaded Indonesia for 3.5 centuries. The Dutch love Indonesian food more than their own. My flatmate took me to a really authentic Indonesian restaurant while I visited his home town Den Haag at [...]

Leiden is a quaint student town with canals and old buildings. Leiden is the birthplace of the famous Dutch artist Rembrandt and the home of Netherlands oldest university. Here, I stopped and feasted on dutch pancake. They taste better here :)! I visited the Citadel of Leiden built in 1950 to fight against the Rhine.

Amsterdam by the day is a stark contrast to Amsterdam at night. The best way to explore the city is either by hiring a bike which is handy since Holland is very flat or  by joining a canal cruise. I chose to do the later.
The cruise allows you to hop on and off to major [...]

Passing through highways and quaint English villages, It took me almost 2 hours to drive from central London to visit Stonehenge in England. I walked past my favourite bakery at QV Building in Melbourne (Corner Lonsdale St and Swanston St). The bakery name is Breadtop. I decided to buy a couple of buns for lunch and came across a Bamboo Charcoal Roll. The roll is black like the colour of charcoal. I was intrigued and decided to give [...]
