Windmills and Tulips at Kinderdijk, Holland
Ok so we all know that Holland/Netherlands is all about dutch beer, marijuanas/mushrooms, Amsterdam, red light district, wooden clogs, and windmills. Windmills you’re asking? Yup! Instead of driving to Kinderdijk, I caught a train to Rotterdam Central Station then took a boat cruise there. This way I get to experience The European largest port Rotterdam as well as getting into the World Heritage (UNESCO) Kinderdijk where I could find a 3 km stretch of fully operating windmills.
It was amazing to be able to see, explored and got inside one of the many Kinderdijk Windmills. It was one of the older and most effective technologies to operate a machine. We had picnic and a great stroll under many windmills. Just like out of many story books.
