Georges Rrrussshhh St Pierre…. GSP!!!!

What a great match between Georges ‘Rush’ St Pierre and Thiago ‘Pit bull’ Alves. The match was quite an exciting one to watch as GSP had a tough opponent. Thiago Alves – A Brazilian super hulk’s striking ability was no match for GSPs superior athletic and wrestling ability. GSP won by unanonymous decision, without losing a round.

GSP really fought perfectly to his game plan, with a 6 inch reach advantage he never allowed Thiago Alves close enough to do any damage. And when Thiago went to his powerful kicks GSP punished him by taking him down, no less than 8 times in fact. Pure domainace!!!!!

The only real scare was in the 3rd round when GSP appeared to have tore his groin muscle. He looked like he was in pain, especially when the fight was over. But never fear, GSP is a champion and champions find ways to win no matter the situation.

I really admired Thiago Alves as he fought till the very end compared to GSP’s previous opponent B J Penn who did not even finish the fight at UFC 94.
