Mai with a glass of Award Winning Montalto Vineyard Pinot Noir
Mornington Peninsula is just 90 minutes from Melbourne and is famous for it’s beautiful coastal lines, beaches and my favourite, vineyards. Everytime I have mates or colleagues visiting, I like to take them to this part of Victoria. The drive along the coast is just simply spectacular and the wine? well I rather be nowhere else
My favourite place for wine and a great lunch is at Montalto Vineyards.
In Montalto, you can enjoy spectacular food and award winning wines (Pinot Noir and lovely Chardonnay). The great thing about winter in Melbourne compare to Europe is that there is always a chance of a sunny day. Montalto have great Olive Oils that you can buy which they grown in the vineyards.
Among the 3 of us, we had very interesting dishes and wines (as seen in photos). The bill including a small tip and with wines prior to lunch cost us AU$50 each. You are not allowed to bring food in the outdoor seatings but you can enjoy your drinks there. When the sun’s out – it’s highly recommended to chill out with a glass of wine and soak up the sun
