View of Mornington Peninsula Bay
I love coming down to the Mornington Peninsula which is located in the south coast of Victoria (approximately 1.5 hours drive off Melbourne).
When you’re visiting this part of Victoria, I’d recommend you leave before lunch time, do a drive along Nepean Highway – passing Frankston Bay, then head towards Arthurs Seat. Before the many chairlifts incidents, we’d takethe chairlift and got a slow view of the Mornington Peninsula coast line. These days, since the chairs are down, I just drive towards Arthurs Seat and stop at a couple of the view points to get a similar view.
In Summary, here are the things you can do for a good day trip with extended early/extra activities:
- Drive from Melbourne along Nepean Highway towards Arthurs Seat and stop at the many view points to get a view as seen on the picture above.
- Continue driving towards Arthurs Seat Lookout point and get another view.
- Have lunch at one of the many Mornington Peninsula Vineyards – my favourite is T’Gallant Winery or Montalto Vineyards – eat good food and sample pinot gris/grigio or pinot noir.
- Afternoon activities either walk around the ArArthurs Seat Maze (Winter/Summer) or hang around picking fresh strawberries or Strawberry Farm (Great in Summer) or walk along Sorrento Pier then hang out at the beach (Summer).
- [Extra Activities] Swim with the Dolphin or Dolphin Watching off SorrentoPier
- View of Mornington Peninsula Bay
- Mai with her camera
- Mai feeding sheep at animal nursery
- Arthurs Seat Maze Garden
- Maze Garden with a pond
- Line Maze
- Puzzle Maze – to tease your brain
