Mai at Visa Platinum Event (Vogue Australia 50 years) wearing her latest purchase of Fleur Wood Sequin Dress

Last night I attended the Visa Platinum event – celeberating Vogue Australia turning 50 years. It was held at the Comme Bar function room in Melbourne. The event was an opportunity for me to catch up with my girlfriends and it was also an excuse to get free drinks . There were about 20 or so who turned up to this cocktail event and I had a blast mingling with everyone.

As to what I wore? I was contemplating between wearing a cute top with pants or a dress but opted for the later since the spring is in the air .

The Vogue Editor of Melbourne did a quick presentation of 10 luxury items which she think is a must have. It included a luxury watch, a white shirt, a tuxedo, a leather jacket, a trench code, a pair of jeans through a classic channel bag and shoes. 

The cocktail food was great – we had peas arancini, prawn spring rolls with lime, guyere cheese balls, smoke trout pastry, king fish skewer and more. I was sipping sparkling wine all night . Anyhow, at the end me and my girlfriends decided to leave to have a proper dinner. We left the venue with a Vogue gift bag that included a 50 years book and the current issue of Vogue magazine celebrating the 50 years anniversary. One of my girlfriend bought the book for $40, guess it’s ebay time for her ;P
