Summer Wedding at Yarra Valley Winery – Melbourne, Australia

Bridal Party, The Bride and The Groom
I was invited to a friend wedding in Yarra Valley Winery recently. It was a cocktail reception in a very social and intimate environment which I quite like in comparison to the formal sit down meal where you don’t really get to move about.
As I flew into Melbourne early morning, I could tell the weather was going to be beautiful and it turned out to be the case
. After an hour drive out of Melbourne to the Yarra Valley Region, I arrived at the venue. It was really nice to see friends that I haven’t really caught out for awhile.

The groom looked very calm despite it being his big day. The groomsmen wore striking white shoes which I hope they get to wear again – perhaps to a Saturday Night fever party
. The bridesmaids were immaculate, the dresses were lovely, it matched the colour of the flower and was also the bride’s favourite colour. Everyone gathered to witness the bride and her father walked down the aisle.
The ambience was relaxed which was really nice. The cocktail food kept coming and I think they ended up with lots of leftover.

Everyone kept asking me throughout the night where I got my dress from or they complimented about my shoes on how they all love them. For fashionistas, all my clothes are from Australian Designer or bought in Australia. My dress was Alannah Hill with heavy shiny beaded crystals while my shoes were Alex and Alex. My handbag was from Noa Noa (Scandanavian Designer) .

The night ended up with plenty of catching up with friends and family, lots of dancing, lots of drinks and food, plenty of fun.

hi there.
just wondering how long ago did you get your dress and if you still wanted it. thanks
Hi Sasha,
I think I got it on December 2009, I think I paid $495 or $525 (can’t remember but around that price). It’s gorgeous. I’ve only worn it twice to the wedding and to work award night. As in per whether I still want it…maybe….I haven’t decided to sell it yet ;p …
I Love that dress, You have really good taste in fashion. Really really good taste
Thanks Samantha
.
