Iphone Apps Review: RadioTime radio tuner

I, like many people, am somewhat reluctant to pay for iPhone applications. I figure there is such a huge range of free applications, amongst them there must be free Apps that do the same thing or something else more interesting at the least. But then you come across a few applications here and there that receive so much positive feedback that a dollar here and there is worth the splurge. RadioTime is one such product.
RadioTime is a radio tuner that allows you to search and listen to any radio station on the planet that has online streaming coverage and in this modern age, that is some extreme global coverage. My global network of friends have stations for their parents to listen in cities, towns and villages in every content. Many small islands of the Pacific Ocean had streaming radio stations and we listened to some very slow folk music from the one Antarctic station. Certainly something I could see myself watching the Australasia Boris to.
Digital radio, RadioTime is another reason why streaming radio could stop you from gaining mainstream popularity. The mp3 compression of a radio stream is easy on the bandwidth resulting in a clear, high quality and stutter free listening experience on your average wireless connection.
Another area that this application shines is its rewind and recording features. The recordings however are not stored or accessible from outside RadioTime. It would have been nice to record a radio show and edit out the songs or segments of interest.
