Archeological Museum at Selcuk
Prior to visiting the archeological site of Ephesus, I divert myself to Selcuk for a quick browse at its archeological museum in which many excavated artifacts of Ephesus are on displayed, including the artifacts from the fountain of folio. I spent a good 45 minutes which was quite sufficient. It was a good build up that excited me before visiting the Ephesus site.

The beautiful facade of Library of Celsus
After a short drive from Selcuk, I finally arrived at Ephesus. I always wanted to visit Ephesus, especially to be on-site in person and to view the splendid facade of the Library of Celsus. Before that though, they’re quite impressive points of interest worth enjoying. I think Ephesus must be one of the finest archeological sites in the world.
Visiting Ephesus reminded me of my visit at Pompei in Italy. Some of the civilisation sites such as temples, theatre, lead pipes and brothel were very similar. Ephesus’ was an ancient Greek city and later became a Roman city, explaining the similarity between the civilisation sites
. Ephesus became the second largest Roman city of the Roman Empire with a population of just over a quarter million people.

The Sign to Brothel?
Ephesus’ famous due to its church quoted in the Book of revelation. The Book of John might have been written here. Ephesus is also famous for its temple of Artemis, however, the temples are now rubles so you have to use your imagination
.

The main road of Ephesus
I will not go in details about the different eras of Ephesus which were Neolithic Age, Bronze Age, Dark Ages, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic Period, Roman Period, Byzantine Era, and modern Turkey Era.
